About
Menu Perfeito is a free resource about gift wrapping: how to wrap a present neatly, tie a bow that sits straight, make a tag and finish the whole thing with ordinary paper, ribbon and a pair of scissors. The guides are written for people who have always handed over gifts with bulky corners and too much tape, and would like to do it better.
What you will find here
- Easy wrapping guides that cover the basics in order: the standard box wrap, a book, tissue paper and a simple paper gift bag.
- Technique guides for measuring paper, folding clean corners, wrapping boxes of any proportion, the diagonal method and wrapping without tape.
- Bows and tags: tying a bow on a box, hand-made ribbon and paper bows, curled ribbon, cardstock tags and ways to attach them.
- Ideas for kraft paper, minimalist and layered wrapping, odd shapes, bottles, cloth wraps, pleats, toppers and the seasons.
If you are new, the best place to begin is How to Wrap a Gift, followed by measuring wrapping paper and folding clean corners. The full list of guides is on the Tutorials page.
How the guides are written
Each tutorial explains one skill or one small project, describes every fold in full and points out the step where things most often go wrong. Measurements are given in inches with centimeters in parentheses, and ribbon lengths in yards and meters. Sizes, lengths and times are practical estimates and are worded that way: paper, ribbon and boxes vary, so test the fit before you cut.
The illustrations on this site are simplified drawings made to show how the paper, the box and the ribbon relate to each other at each step. They are diagrams, not photographs of finished gifts, and they contain no text.
The methods described here are common, generic wrapping techniques explained in our own words. We do not reproduce branded or proprietary designs, we do not recommend specific brands or stores, and we do not publish invented reviews, ratings or testimonials.
